WPW10289690 Whirlpool Ice Maker Cover
The Refrigerator Ice Maker Cover attaches to the front of the ice maker to protect the gear and motor. If your refrigerator's ice maker cover is cracked or damaged, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. In order to access the ice maker, remove the ice maker service cover by separating its pins from the brackets holding it into place. You'll then need to remove the whole ice maker to remove the ice maker cover. The cover simply pulls off of the ice maker. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10289690 COVER-FRNT
1. Make sure you have the necessary tools and parts. You need a Phillips head screwdriver and the WPW10289690 COVER-FRNT replacement part.
2. Unplug the washer from power source.
3. Remove the screws that secure the control panel to the front of the machine using a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Lift the panel off of the machine.
5. Unscrew the four screws that secure the old cover to the front of the machine.
6. Carefully remove the old cover.
7. Place the new cover in position and secure it with the four screws.
8. Replace the screws that secure the control panel to the front of the machine.
9. Turn the washer on at the power source.
10. Plug the washer into the power source.
You're Done! You should now be able to use your washer with the new WPW10289690 COVER-FRNT in place.
