Replacing the WP22002263 Whirlpool Dryer Light Bulb, 10W
1. Prepare the area. Gather the tools you need to replace the light bulb, including a Phillips head screwdriver and a cloth to protect your hands and the bulb. Make sure to unplug the dryer before beginning any repair work.
2. Locate the light bulb. For this particular model, the light bulb is located inside the drum, at the back of the dryer.
3. Open the back panel. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the back panel in place. Once the screws are removed, set them aside and gently pull the panel away from the dryer.
4. Replace the light bulb. Carefully grab the light bulb and remove it from the socket. Insert the new bulb into the socket and twist it clockwise to secure it in place.
5. Close the back panel. Line up the panel with the rest of the dryer and use the Phillips head screwdriver to replace the screws. Plug the dryer back in and test the new light bulb.
