W10814296 Whirlpool Washer Center Post Gasket Seal
This Top Load Washer Tub Gasket prevent leaks from occurring at the bottom of the spin basket. If your washing machine is leaking water, this seal may be damaged or worn out and can be repaired using this part. The black plastic gasket measures approx. 2" D; this bulk pack includes 25 gaskets. Installing this part will require specialized tools, disassembly of the washing machine and previous repair experience. Consider hiring a trained technician to complete this repair. If installing the gasket yourself, be sure to unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.

Step 1: Unplug the W10814296 Whirlpool Washer from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply to the washer.
Step 2: Remove the access panel located behind the lower front access panel and drain any water that is present in the machine.
Step 3: Lift the top panel off of the washer.
Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harnesses, hoses, and other components attached to the washer tub.
Step 5: Remove the four screws located on the tub mounting ring and lift the washer tub off of the machine.
Step 6: Remove the old center post gasket seal from the washer drum.
Step 7: Carefully clean off any remaining debris or residue from the surface of the new center post gasket seal, then install it onto the washer drum.
Step 8: Place the washer tub onto the machine and secure it with the four screws.
Step 9: Reconnect all hoses, wiring harnesses and other components to the washer tub.
Step 10: Replace the top panel and access panel onto the washer.
Step 11: Plug the W10814296 Whirlpool Washer back into the wall outlet and turn on the water supply.
