DIY: How to Replace the WP2256101 Whirlpool Refrigerator Dairy Compartment Door
1. Unplug your refrigerator and shut off the water supply.
2. Locate the dairy compartment door in the upper left-hand corner of the refrigerator. It is held in place by 6 screws.
3. Remove the screws and pull the door away from the refrigerator.
4. Go to a local appliance parts store and purchase a replacement dairy door with the same model number, WP2256101..
5. Reattach the new door using the 6 screws you removed in step 2.
6. If the door does not fit, make sure the hinges are properly aligned and seated into the slots on the wall of the refrigerator.
7. Plug the refrigerator back in and turn on the water supply.
8. Inspect the seal around the door for any gaps and adjust accordingly.
9. Your refrigerator should now be functioning with the new dairy compartment door. Enjoy!
