WPW10358149 Whirlpool Hose
This Top Load Washer Inner Drain Hose carries drain water from the water pump to the external drain hose at the wall. To access the part, remove the control panel of your washer, then slide the panel open. Remove the spring clips that hold the body to the frame of the washer and remove the cabinet from the washer. When disconnecting any hoses, place a towel down to catch any water. This part includes the clamp. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn the water supply off to the washer. Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10358149 Hose
1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall and turn off any water supply for the washer.
2. If necessary, remove the bottom access panel to gain access to the hose.
3. Disconnect the old Whirlpool hose by pressing down on the retaining clips and gently pulling the hose away from the connections.
4. Cut off any clamps that may be attached to the hose using a pair of pliers.
5. Insert the new hose into the connections, making sure that it is completely threaded in.
6. Use a pair of pliers to secure the hose by attaching a new clamp.
7. Plug the power cord back into the wall and turn the water supply back on.
8. Test the new hose connection by running a short cycle on the washer.
9. Make sure that there are no leaks from the hose before replacing the bottom access panel.
