WP4387764 Whirlpool Run Capacitor
This SxS Refrigerator Run Capacitor briefly increases the voltage to the motor to help the motor start. If your refrigerator motor won't start or clicks, this part may need to be replaced. To access the part, remove the bottom back panel of the refrigerator with a 1/4-inch nut driver. Replacing the capacitor will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. Replacing the Whirlpool WP4387764 CAPACITOR
1. Unplug your appliance from the power source and move the appliance to a well-ventilated workspace.
2. Locate the old capacitor in the back of the appliance.
3. Remove the old capacitor from its mounting bracket using a pair of needle nose pliers.
4. Take out the new capacitor from its package and insert its terminals into the existing mounting bracket.
5. Secure the terminals in place with a pair of needle nose pliers.
6. Carefully plug in the appliance and turn it on.
7. Monitor the appliance’s performance and make sure that it is running properly.
