Step 1: Gather the proper tools and supplies to replace the Whirlpool WP179051 screw. You will need a ratcheting screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver head bit, and a new Whirlpool WP179051 screw.
Step 2: Disconnect the power to the appliance by unplugging it or flipping the breaker switch.
Step 3: Unscrew the old WP179051 Whirlpool Screw. Use the ratcheting screwdriver and Phillips screwdriver head bit to remove the old screw.
Step 4: Install the new Whirlpool WP179051 screw into the same area that the previous one was removed from. Make sure to hand-tighten the screw to ensure it is securely in place.
Step 5: Plug the power back in to the appliance and test it to be sure the repair was successful.
