The following parts are replaced by this product

Step 1: Unplug the Washing Machine

Before you begin any repairs, be sure to unplug the washing machine from the outlet or disconnect power from the circuit breaker. This will ensure your safety as you work on the appliance.

Step 2: Remove the Top Panel and Access Panel

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the top panel of the washer. Once the screws are removed, lift the top panel up and off. Be sure to keep the area clear in case components need to be removed during the repair process. Next, remove the screws securing the access panel, usually located near the bottom of the washer, and remove the panel.

Step 3: Disconnect the Washer Drain Pump

Once the washer panels are removed, you will have access to the washer drain pump. Using a socket wrench and an appropriate-sized socket, loosen the two nuts securing the pump to the washer. Then, disconnect the pump hoses, followed by the electrical harness attached to the back of the pump.

Step 4: Install the New Drain Pump

Connect the new washer drain pump to the electrical harness first, followed by connecting the hoses. Reattach the pump to the washer frame with the two nuts and a socket wrench.

Step 5: Reconnect the Washer

With the new washer drain pump installed, it’s time to reassemble the washer. Start by replacing the access panel and the top panel, making sure to secure both with appropriate screws. Once the washer is reassembled, plug it back into the outlet or reconnect power from the circuit breaker.

Step 6: Test the Washer

To make sure the repair was successful, run a test cycle to check for any leaks or unusual noises. If all appears to be functioning correctly, enjoy a job well done!

Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
