Replacing the Whirlpool W10211974 SWITCH
DIY instructions:
1. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
2. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws on the top and bottom of the control panel of the dishwasher.
3. Carefully lift off the panel and set aside.
4. Locate the switch which is usually either on the top or the side of the control panel.
5. Disconnect the wires leading to the switch by using a pair of pliers.
6. Remove the screw holding the switch in place and carefully remove the switch.
7. Place the new switch in the same position as the old one.
8. Connect the wires to the new switch and secure it firmly with a screw.
9. Re-attach the control panel and secure it with screws.
10. Plug in the power cord and test the dishwasher to make sure the switch is working properly.
