Step 1: Before starting the project, make sure that the power is off to the refrigerator. Locate and unplug the fridge to ensure safety.
Step 2: Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the panel screws from the back panel of the refrigerator. Lift up the panel and remove it from the fridge.
Step 3: Locate the WP60106-35 Whirlpool Defrost Heater and unplug it from the wiring harness.
Step 4: Carefully slide out the old heater from the rear of the refrigerator.
Step 5: Clean the mounting surface with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or residue.
Step 6: Insert the new WP60106-35 Whirlpool Defrost Heater into the rear of the fridge and plug it in to the wiring harness.
Step 7: Secure the heater in place with screws you removed in step 2.
Step 8: Replace the back panel and re-secure it with the screws from step 2.
Step 9: Reconnect the power to the fridge, plug it in and carefully test the new WP60106-35 Whirlpool Defrost Heater.
