1. Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet before beginning any work.
2. Locate the fuse on the rear panel located inside the refrigerator.
3. Remove the rear panel and locate the thermal fuse.
4. Disconnect the wires that are connected to the thermal fuse.
5. Once the wires are disconnected, you can now remove the old thermal fuse.
6. Be sure to take note of the position of the wires before you remove the old fuse as it needs to be installed in the same configuration for proper operation.
7. Install the new Whirlpool WP307473 FUSE-THRML in the same position as the old fuse.
8. Connect the wires to the terminal on the new fuse.
9. Put the back panel back on and plug the refrigerator back into the electrical outlet.
10. Turn the refrigerator on and ensure it works properly.
