DIY Instructions for Replacing a Whirlpool Microwave Oven Vent Grille - Black (8183851)
Tools needed:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
Step 1: Unplug the microwave oven from the power source. You should always unplug any electrical appliances before doing maintenance work.
Step 2: Remove the screws holding the vent grille and the microwave in place. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the side of the grille. Then, use the flathead screwdriver to remove the screws on the top of the grille that are holding it in place against the microwave.
Step 3: Lift the grille off the microwave. You may need to wiggle it slightly to get it out.
Step 4: Place the new 8183851 Whirlpool Microwave Oven Vent Grille - Black over the opening where the old one was. Insert the screws back into the holes and tighten them with the Philips head screwdriver.
Step 5: Plug the microwave oven back into the power source and you’re done!
