This Dishwasher Check Valve Assembly prevents water from returning to the dishwasher after it has drained during the cleaning cycle. If the valve in your appliance breaks and remains closed, the water will not drain properly and you may notice water pooling in the bottom of the appliance or an unpleasant smell emanating from the dishwasher, replacing this part may alleviate the issue.
