Replacing the Speed Queen D510185 Spring Idler
Tools You Will Need:
• Flat head screwdriver
• Needle nose pliers
• New Speed Queen D510185 spring idler
Instructions:
1. Unplug the washing machine from the power source and make sure it is turned off.
2. Lift up the top panel of the washing machine and locate the spring idler. The spring idler should be close to the belt drive pulley.
3. Using your flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the tension bracket that holds the spring idler in place.
4. Remove the old spring idler using a pair of needle nose pliers.
5. Insert the new Speed Queen D510185 spring idler into the tension bracket. Make sure that the grooves on the spring are facing the right direction and the spring is securely in place.
6. Tighten the tension bracket to ensure that the spring idler is securely in place.
7. Close the top panel of the washing machine and plug it back into the power source.
