1. Begin by removing the inner and outer doors of your Whirlpool microwave. To do this, first use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws located on the edge of the door frames.
2. Carefully lift the door away from the unit, taking care not to damage the wiring running underneath. Set the door aside and locate the top interlock support in the upper left corner of the main unit.
3. Using a flat head screwdriver, loosen the two screws that are holding the top interlock support to the unit and remove them.
4. Carefully slide the interlock support free from the unit and set it aside. Then place the floor jack underneath the unit to raise it up off the ground.
5. Secure the jack with ratchet wrench and carefully raise the unit so that it is held securely off the ground.
6. With the unit raised, locate the replacement interlock support. Slide it into the slot and use the Phillips screwdriver to secure it with the screws that were used to remove the original support.
7. Now lower the unit back onto the ground and reattach the doors with the Phillips screwdriver. Make sure to ensure all wires are out of the way.
8. Test the microwave to see that it is working properly.
