4396277 Whirlpool Barrier Assembly
The Dishwasher Moisture Barrier Kit attaches to the bottom of the cabinets above the dishwasher door to protect your cabinets from moisture damage. This accessory kit can be used with many appliance brands; check your model number to confirm compatibility. Installing this kit will require basic hand tools and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before beginning the repair. 1. Turn off the power to your Whirlpool 4396277 refrigerator by unplugging it from the wall outlet or switching off the power in the breaker box.
2. Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer, including any shelves or drawers.
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the inside of the refrigerator that secure the existing barrier.
4. Pull the existing barrier away from the refrigerator walls and discard it.
5. Unpack the new barrier and locate the clips that attach it to the walls of the refrigerator.
6. Attach the clips onto the barrier, ensuring they are securely fastened.
7. Now, slide the new barrier into place, being sure to line up the clips with the holes in the refrigerator walls.
8. Secure the new barrier by replacing the screws and tighten them with the screwdriver.
9. Once the new barrier is in place, plug in the refrigerator and switch on the power.
10. Place all items back inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
11. Test the new barrier by running the refrigerator for the next few hours. Check to make sure that it retains a proper seal and doesn’t loosen.
