WPW10121138 Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Filter Housing
The SxS Refrigerator Water Filter Housing is a white plastic part that surrounds and protects the appliance’s water filter and connects the water lines to the water filter. To access the part, unscrew the water filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Then slide the old cover off. Hook the new cover onto each hinge pin, and then re-install the filter by turning it clockwise. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and intermediate repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator’s water supply before you begin.

DIY: How to Replace a WPW10121138 Whirlpool Water Filter Housing
Tools Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Pliers
- Replacement WPW10121138 filter housing
Instructions:
1. Locate the existing WPW10121138 filter housing. It is typically located underneath your sink near the water supply line.
2. Unscrew the filter housing with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Remove the old filter housing and discard it.
4. Take the new WPW10121138 filter housing and insert it into the same area.
5. Secure the new filter housing by tightening the screws securely with a Phillips screwdriver.
6. Turn off the water to the filter housing.
