DIY Instructions on Replacing Whirlpool WP2315559 Sleeve
1. Unplug your refrigerator and turn off the water supply. Move the refrigerator out from the wall far enough to access the back of the appliance.
2. Locate the brand name of the refrigerator and its model number, which is printed on a sticker or metal plate. Locate the part number for the sleeve, which is usually listed on the parts list in the owner’s manual.
3. Search online with the part number in order to find the right replacement sleeve. Purchase the part online or through a local appliance parts store.
4. Turn off the water supply and remove the old sleeve by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the water line leading to the valve.
5. Install the new sleeve in reverse order of removal. Connect the water line to the valve and secure the sleeve in place with the mounting screws.
6. Turn the water supply back on and plug the refrigerator in. Perform a leak test to make sure the installation was successful.
