DIY: Replace the Whirlpool 4317824 Dishwasher Power Cord Kit
Tools Needed:
-Flathead Screwdriver
-Phillips head screwdriver
-5' 3 Wire 3 Prong Replacement Power Cord Kit
Instructions:
1. Shut off all power to the dishwasher. Unplug the existing power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the screws securing the dishwasher's access panel. Lift the access panel off and set it aside.
3. Locate the existing power cord at the back of the dishwasher. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screw securing the cord to the dishwasher frame.
4. Pull the old power cord out of the dishwasher and discard it.
5. Take the new 5' 3 Wire 3 Prong Replacement Power Cord Kit and connect it to the dishwasher's power terminal. Secure it with the screw removed from the old power cord.
6. Plug the new power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
7. Reattach the access panel with the screws removed earlier.
8. Turn on the power to the dishwasher.
