1. Make sure the power to the appliance is switched off and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
2. Open the dryer door and insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slots above the dryer door hinge on each side. Press firmly on the top of the hinge to release the door.
3. Set the door aside and locate the door cable. The door cable is connected to the door lock switch and door handle.
4. Use a pair of pliers to disconnect the door cable from the door lock switch and door handle.
5. Now that the old door cable is disconnected, you can remove it by pulling it out of the clips.
6. Before you install the new WP99003446 Whirlpool Door Cable, make sure you have the correct length and size Clips to secure it in place.
7. Connect the new door cable to the door handle and the door lock switch.
8. Secure the new door cable in place using the clips.
9. Lift the dryer door back in place, making sure the hinges are aligned.
10. Plug the appliance back into the wall outlet and turn the power back on. Test the new door cable to make sure it is working properly.
