This Top Load Washer Water Inlet Valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If your washer isn’t getting any hot or cold water, is filling slowly, not filling at all or leaking water onto the floor, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. This part has 4 terminals and is located at the back of the machine. You'll need to separate the washer cabinet from the washer and disconnect the red and white wiring connectors from the old part. How to Replace the 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve

Replacing the 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve is a simple do-it-yourself repair. With the right tools and supplies, you can get the job done in no time. Here’s what you need to know to replace the water inlet fill valve.

Tools & Supplies Needed

• New 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve

• Phillips head screwdriver

• Wrench or pliers

• Masking or electrical tape

• Small bucket or container

Instructions

1. Shut off water supply to your washer. Find the shut off valves behind the washer, usually underneath the sink. Turn them off clockwise.

2. Turn on the hot and cold water faucets to relieve water pressure on the lines and drain any remaining water out of the washer.

3. Disconnect the hot and cold water hoses from the back of the washing machine.

4. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws from the clips holding the old water inlet fill valve in place.

5. Pull the old valve out of the washing machine.

6. Place masking or electrical tape around the threads of the new 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve to ensure it doesn’t leak.

7. Place the new fill valve into the washer and secure it with the clips.

8. Use a wrench or pliers to tighten the nuts that secure the new valve to the washer.

9. Connect the hot and cold water hoses to the back of the washing machine.
