Step 1: Unplug the Speed Queen 33489 Washer from the power source and make sure that all water lines are properly disconnected.
Step 2: Remove the top panel of the washer by unscrewing the screws and gently lifting the panel off.
Step 3: Locate the Strap, Standpipe-Beaded and gently pull it off the washer's interior with a pair of pliers or a small flathead screwdriver.
Step 4: Replace it with a new Strap, Standpipe-Beaded for the Speed Queen 33489 Washer and firmly secure the new strap in place.
Step 5: Reattach the top panel by firmly pushing it in place and reinstalling the screws.
Step 6: Reconnect the washer to the power source and check for proper operation.
