WP61002112 Whirlpool Refrigerator Shelf Retainer Bar Support
The Refrigerator Shelf Retainer Bar End Cap is used to keep the retainer bar in place, and can be used on either the right or left hand side of the bar. This white end cap is approximately 2-in long, and made entirely of plastic. The shelf bar and cap snap into place on the door to attach the door shelf bar to the inner door liner. Make sure the door bar is properly attached to the inner door liner so your food items remain secure. Installation will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the unit and novice repair experience.

DIY Instructions for Replacing the WP61002112 Whirlpool Shelf Rail End Cap
Tools Needed:
-Flat-head screwdriver
-Phillips-head screwdriver
-Needle-nose pliers
-New WP61002112 Whirlpool shelf rail end cap
Instructions:
1. Unscrew the old shelf rail end cap from the shelf. Using a flat-head screwdriver, carefully unscrew the screws holding the cap in place.
2. Disconnect the shelf rail's tab connectors from the back wall of the refrigerator or freezer. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, gently unscrew the two screws on the tab connectors to remove them from the back wall.
3. Remove the old shelf rail end cap from the shelf by pulling it away from the shelf. Use needle-nose pliers to carefully detach any other connections such as wires or plugs that were attached to the old cap.
4. Install the new shelf rail end cap by connecting the tab connectors to the back wall and lightly pushing the new cap into place. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, gently tighten the two screws on the tab connectors to secure the new shelf rail end cap.
5. Secure the new cap in place on the shelf. Using a flat-head screwdriver, gently tighten the screws holding the new WP61002112 Whirlpool shelf rail end cap in place.
6. Check that the new part is functioning properly and all connections are securely fastened.
