Replacing the Whirlpool WP67001668 Plate- Filter
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet and get rid of any ice in the bin or tray.
2. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator by turning off the shut-off valve on the wall behind the refrigerator.
3. Locate the filter housing, typically found at the rear of the refrigerator, near the bottom of the fridge.
4. Remove the top of the filter housing by unscrewing the two screws at the top.
5. Carefully pull out the old filter from the housing, and dispose of it properly.
6. Take the new filter and remove the protective cap.
7. Insert the new filter into the housing. Make sure that it is properly positioned and lined up correctly with the housing.
8. Place the top back on the housing, and secure it in place with the two screws.
9. Turn the water supply back on, and flush the new filter for 5 minutes in order to clear any dirt or debris that may be present.
10. Plug the refrigerator back in, turn it on, and check for any water leaks around the filter housing.
