Step 1: Unplug the appliance from the power source and shut off the water supply.
Step 2: Place a towel on the floor beneath the appliance to catch any spilled water from the water line.
Step 3: Locate the Whirlpool W11512417 EXTENSION LEG underneath the appliance. You may need to move the appliance or other items out of the way to access the part.
Step 4: Unscrew the mounting bolts that secure the extension leg to the floor.
Step 5: Lift the old extension leg off and slide the new one into place.
Step 6: Secure the new extension leg to the floor by tightening the mounting bolts.
Step 7: Turn on the water supply and plug the appliance back into the power source.
Step 8: Check the area near the extension leg for any signs of leaks. If there are no signs of leaks, your repair is complete.
