The Dishwasher Door Gasket includes a new rubber door gasket that goes around the outer edge of the door to seal it. If your dishwasher leaks water during the cleaning cycle, replacing this rubber seal may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require no disassembly or repair experience. Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply.
Step 2: Remove the door screws with a Phillips head screwdriver and take off the door.
Step 3: Unplug the power cord for the ice maker (if there is one) and remove the gasket by pulling it off the door.
Step 4: Clean the door surface with a wet cloth to get rid of any dirt or debris.
Step 5: Place the new WPW10509257 Whirlpool Door Gasket onto the door, making sure that it fits properly in all the grooves.
Step 6: Secure the gasket to the door with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 7: Plug in the power cord for the ice maker (if there is one).
Step 8: Replace the door on the refrigerator, plug it back into the electrical outlet, and turn on the water supply.
