The Refrigerator Freezer Door Handle is a white plastic part that attaches to the top of the freezer door to ease with opening and closing the compartment. Replacing the Whirlpool WP67005140 Handle
1. Begin by shutting off power to your appliance. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet or shut-off the circuit breaker to the appliance.
2. Carefully open the refrigerator door. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver for the next step.
3. There are two screws located on the interior of the door frame and one on the exterior. Use the Phillips head to remove the three screws and store them in a safe place
4. Once the screws are removed, you will be able to pull out the handle. Be careful not to damage the door frame when pulling out the handle.
5. Remove the parts from the packaging and align the screws with the holes in the handle. Gently press the handle into the holes until it is firmly seated.
6. Using the Phillips head screwdriver, reinstall the three screws removed earlier.
7. Once the screws are tightened, test the handle to make sure it is correctly installed and operates smoothly.
8. Replace any electrical safety devices that were disturbed while replacing the handle. This can include resetting the circuit breaker or plugging the appliance back into the wall outlet.
9. Close the door and you’re done!
