Step 1: Disconnect the Power Supply
Before starting any repair, it is important to make sure that the power supply to the appliance is disconnected. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet or turn off the appropriate circuit breaker.
Step 2: Remove the Old Snack Pan
Open the refrigerator door and, if necessary, empty the shelves. Locate the snack pan, which is usually located at the bottom level of the refrigerator. Unscrew the screws located on the sides of the pan and remove the old part.
Step 3: Install the New Snack Pan
Take the new snack pan and turn it in the same direction of the old panel. Place the snack pan in the bottom of the refrigerator, making sure it is properly centered. Secure the pan with the screws that were removed in Step 2.
Step 4: Check for a Proper Fit
Once the new pan is secured, close the refrigerator door and check that the snack pan is lying flat and that there are no gaps between the pan and the refrigerator. If it is not properly seated, remove the pan and repeat Steps 2 and 3.
Step 5: Restore Power Supply
Once the replacement is complete, plug the power supply back into the wall outlet or switch the appropriate circuit breaker back on.
