WP2196189 Whirlpool Shelf Retainer Bar
The Refrigerator Shelf Retainer Bar End Cap, Right Side, connects to the retainer bar on your refrigerator’s door shelf, and attaches it to the refrigerator door. If your shelf retainer bar has become disconnected, a damaged end cap could be the cause. To remove the end cap, first unhook the release tab on both ends of the retainer bar. Slide out the bar and the end caps, and slide out the defective cap. Now, simply replace the end cap and snap the bar with end caps back in place on the refrigerator door. Replacing the Whirlpool WP2196189 ENDCAP-TRM
1. Start by unplugging the appliance from the wall outlet and shut off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
2. Gently pull the washer away from the wall and turn it around so that you can access the back of the machine.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the back panel to the washer.
4. Pull the back panel away from the machine and set it aside. This will give you access to the ENDCAP-TRM.
5. Locate the Whirlpool WP2196189 ENDCAP-TRM and then use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the screws that secure the part to the frame.
6. Carefully remove the old ENDCAP-TRM and set it aside.
7. Take the new ENDCAP-TRM and insert it into the frame, making sure that the part is properly aligned.
8. Use a flathead screwdriver to tighten the screws that secure the part to the frame.
9. Replace the back panel and securely fasten it with the screws.
10. Plug the washer back in and turn the power back on.
11. You’re done! Enjoy your new Whirlpool WP2196189 ENDCAP-TRM.
