Replacing the W10727360 Whirlpool Door Switch - An Easy DIY Guide

Are your appliances having trouble like not starting or turning off properly? The most common reason may be a faulty door switch. In this guide, we will be replacing the Whirlpool W10727360 Door Switch for an easy DIY replacement.

1. Gather Supplies - Before you start take a few moments to gather all the supplies that you need:
•W10727360 Whirlpool Door Switch
•Phillips Head Screwdriver
•Flat Head Screwdriver

2. Unplug Appliance - Once you have all of your supplies ready, the first step is to unplug the appliance from the power outlet. This is for safety and should always be done before attempting any repairs.

3. Remove Access Panel - Use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the access panel screws at the back of the dryer. Once the screws are removed, you can remove the access panel and set it aside.

4. Locate W10727360 Door Switch - With the access panel removed, you can now locate the W10727360 Door Switch. This part will be located near the top of the dryer’s interior in the control panel.

5. Disconnect Wiring - Once you have located the W10727360 Door Switch, you can disconnect the wiring. You will need to use a flat head screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the wires in place.

6. Remove Old Part - After disconnecting the wires, you can remove the old part. There will be screws holding the part in place. Use the Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screws and lift the part out of the dryer.

7. Install New Part - With the old part removed, you can now install the new part. Make sure that you align the new part correctly and reattach the screws.

8. Reconnect Wiring - Once the new part is installed, reconnect the wiring by pressing the connectors together and securing the screws with the flat head screwdriver.

9. Replace Access Panel - At this point, you can replace the access panel and secure the screws with the Phillips Head screwdriver.

10. Test the Appliance - Plug the appliance back into the power outlet and test it out to make sure it works properly.
