This Dishwasher Drain Hose Extension sends waste water from the drain hose loop to the house drain during your appliance’s operation. This accessory is compatible with most dishwasher brands and models and will be needed if your appliance is more than the standard distance away from the house drain; check to see if your model number is compatible. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this accessory. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink. DIY Instructions to Replace the 8269144A Whirlpool Dishwasher Drain Hose
1. Unplug the dishwasher from the power outlet and turn off the water supply.
2. Locate the drain hose assembly at the back of the dishwasher.
3. Disconnect the clamps or screws that are securing the old hose and remove the hose.
4. Take the new drain hose and feed it through the opening at the bottom of the dishwasher.
5. Secure the new hose to the drain outlet with the clamps or screws.
6. Reconnect the power source and turn on the water supply.
7. Test the new hose for any leaks.
