Step 1: Purchase a compatible filter. Be sure to purchase a WF3CB Frigidaire Pure Source 3 Water Filter that is the correct size for your refrigerator model.
Step 2: Locate the filter. The filter is usually located at the back of the refrigerator near the bottom or underneath it. If you cannot locate it, refer to your refrigerator’s user manual for more information.
Step 3: Turn off the water supply. Before continuing, turn off the water supply that powers the refrigerator’s ice maker and water dispenser. This can usually be done by simply turning the valve or knob on the wall behind the refrigerator.
Step 4: Remove the filter. Unscrew the filter housing cover, then gently pull out the old filter.
Step 5: Install the new filter. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring that the arrows on the filter are pointing in the right direction. Once inserted, securely tighten the filter housing cover.
Step 6: Flush the system. After replacing the filter, turn on the water supply and allow several gallons of water to run through the new filter before using the refrigerator’s water dispenser.
Step 7: Reset the filter indicator. If your refrigerator is equipped with a filter change indicator, reset it by pressing and holding the “Reset” button until the indicator light turns off.
