DIY Instructions: Replacing a Whirlpool Upper Spray Arm Mount (WP8539324)
1. Unplug your dishwasher from the power source, and turn off both the hot and cold water supply to the dishwasher.
2. Remove the spray arm from the dishwasher by unscrewing the retaining nut located at the center of the spray arm.
3. With the spray arm removed, locate the lower spray arm mount. Unscrew and remove the mount, and then remove the old upper spray arm mount (WP8539324).
4. Install the new upper spray arm mount (WP8539324).
5. Replace the lower spray arm mount and screw it into place.
6. Reattach the spray arm onto the upper spray arm mount. Secure the retaining nut.
7. Reconnect the hot and cold water supply to the dishwasher and plug the dishwasher back in.
8. Turn on the dishwasher and check that the new upper spray arm mount (WP8539324) is securely in place and is spinning properly.
