DIY Guide to Replacing the Whirlpool WP67006312 Door-Children Lock

Replacing the children lock on your Whirlpool WP67006312 door doesn’t have to be a difficult task. With this step-by-step guide, you can quickly and easily swap out your broken lock for a new one. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Gather all the necessary tools. You’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, and a pair of needle nose pliers.

2. Remove the screws from the children lock. Use your Phillips head screwdriver to take out the two screws that are located underneath the children lock.

3. Detach the spring-loaded cover. Insert the flathead screwdriver in the slot located at the top of the children lock. Carefully, turn the screwdriver until the cover is detached from the lock.

4. Take out the old lock. Once the cover has been removed, you should be able to remove the old lock. Use the needle nose pliers to gently pull out the old lock.

5. Insert the new lock. Make sure that you securely insert the new lock.

6. Replace the cover. Put the spring-loaded cover back into position, and use the Phillips head screwdriver to secure it with the two screws.

7. Test the lock. Make sure that the new lock is properly secured, and test to make sure that it’s working properly.

Your Whirlpool WP67006312 door should now have a functioning children lock. If you need assistance, contact a professional.
