Replacing the Whirlpool Range Oven Ignitor (W10918546)
Materials Needed:
- Replacement oven ignitor (W10918546)
- Wrench
- Screwdriver
- Safety Gloves
Step 1: Unplug the range from the power source.
Step 2: Open the oven door and locate the access panel. Remove the screws holding the panel in place with a screwdriver. Set the screws aside.
Step 3: Lift the access panel away from the oven and set it aside.
Step 4: Look for the ignitor, which is connected to the base of the oven.
Step 5: Loosen the screws that are holding the ignitor in place with a wrench.
Step 6: Carefully remove the ignitor and unplug the wiring harness.
Step 7: Plug in the new ignitor and secure it to the base of the oven with the screws.
Step 8: Replace the access panel and screws.
Step 9: Plug the range into the power source.
Step 10: Test the oven to see if it’s working properly.
