1. Unplug the Speed Queen dryer from the wall outlet to ensure your safety.
2. Remove the two screws which fasten the top panel against the back of the dryer.
3. Carefully lift up the top panel to gain access to the control system.
4. Disconnect the wires connected to the faulty switch. Pay attention to how the wires were connected in order to properly and safely reconnect them to the new switch.
5. Remove the screws holding the faulty switch in place, and remove it.
6. Install the new SPST switch in the designated area, secure it with screws and make sure that the wires are tightly secured and properly connected.
7. Replace the top cover and secure it with the two original screws.
8. Plug the dryer back into the wall outlet.
9. Test the new switch by turning the dryer on and off.
