202032 Speed Queen Washer Idler Lever Spring with Silencer

1. Unplug the Speed Queen Washer from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply.
2. Remove the back panel of the washer, which is attached by two screws that can be unscrewed with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Lift up the top lid and locate the tensioner lever spring, which is located on the left side of the drum.
4. Disconnect the spring's wire ends from the slots in the belt pulley, which is located on the right side of the drum.
5. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the original spring.
6. Place the new 202032 Speed Queen Washer Idler Lever Spring W/Silencer in place, being sure to connect the wire ends to the slots in the belt pulley.
7. Tighten the spring so that it is secure and won't move around.
8. Replace the back panel of the washer with the two screws that were removed earlier.
9. Turn the water supply back on and plug the washer into the wall outlet.
