WPW10380496 Whirlpool Stand Mixer Motor Brush
This KitchenAid® Stand Mixer Motor Brush is required for the proper operation of the motor. If the motor of your stand mixer is no longer functioning, you can easily replace it with this part. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the mixer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the mixer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: Your mixer requires (2) motor brushes for proper functionality; these are sold individually. Be sure to order (2) motor brushes to complete your repair.

Replacing the WPW10380496 Whirlpool Stand Mixer Motor Brush
Materials Needed:
-Replacement WPW10380496 Whirlpool Stand Mixer Motor Brush
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Needle nose pliers
Instructions:
1. Unplug your Whirlpool stand mixer from the power outlet.
2. Locate the motor brush access panel near the back of the motor housing and remove the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Carefully remove the motor brush access panel, taking note of the way it is connected to the housing.
4. Using needle nose pliers, detach the wire clips from the old motor brush and remove the brush from the motor housing.
5. Insert the new motor brush into the motor housing and replace the wire clips with the needle nose pliers.
6. Replace the motor brush access panel and secure it with the screws.
7. Plug in your Whirlpool stand mixer and you’re all set to go!
