This Dishwasher Door Balance Kit ensures that your dishwasher’s door opens and closes as expected. If the door of your dishwasher isn't functioning as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This a replacement kit includes a complete set of (2) wheel and mount assemblies and (2) link cables. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink. Helpful Tips: The door springs of the dishwasher may also need to be inspected and replaced during this installation. Step 1: Before you replace the 8194001 Whirlpool Dishwasher Door Balance Link Kit, 2PK, disconnect your dishwasher from the power source.
Step 2: Carefully open the dishwasher door and locate the two link arms that are connected to the side panels of the dishwasher.
Step 3: Disconnect the two link arms from the side panels by hand. This process will require some force, so use caution.
Step 4: Once the link arms are removed, insert the new 8194001 Whirlpool Dishwasher Door Balance Link Kit, 2PK into the slots in the side panels of the dishwasher door. Make sure the arms are securely locked into the slots.
Step 5: Close the dishwasher door and reconnect the power source to your dishwasher. That’s it – you have successfully replaced the 8194001 Whirlpool Dishwasher Door Balance Link Kit, 2PK!
