Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the wall. Locate the drain hose, which is located on the rear wall of the refrigerator.
Step 2: Place a bucket under the drain hose to catch any water that may be in the hose before you disconnect it.
Step 3: Disconnect the drain hose from the back of the refrigerator. Some hoses may have clamps, while others may snap in place. If your hose has clamps, use a screwdriver or pliers to remove them.
Step 4: Measure the old drain hose and purchase a new WPW10189267 Whirlpool Drain Hose that is the same size.
Step 5: Clean the area around the drain hose connection with a soft, damp cloth. This will help to ensure a secure fit when reconnecting the hose.
Step 6: Attach one end of the new drain hose to the back of the refrigerator. Make sure the connection is secure.
Step 7: Attach the other end of the drain hose to the drain pipe or sink, whichever is applicable. Again, make sure the connection is secure.
Step 8: Plug the refrigerator back into the wall and check to make sure there are no leaks.
