This Washer Drain Hose includes a connection clamp. The drain hose carries waste water out of the washer after the cleaning cycle. If your appliance’s current drain hose is damaged and water is leaking onto the floor, you can easily replace it with this part. Installing this part will require hand tools, disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the wall. Locate the drain hose, which is located on the rear wall of the refrigerator.
Step 2: Place a bucket under the drain hose to catch any water that may be in the hose before you disconnect it.
Step 3: Disconnect the drain hose from the back of the refrigerator. Some hoses may have clamps, while others may snap in place. If your hose has clamps, use a screwdriver or pliers to remove them.
Step 4: Measure the old drain hose and purchase a new WPW10189267 Whirlpool Drain Hose that is the same size.
Step 5: Clean the area around the drain hose connection with a soft, damp cloth. This will help to ensure a secure fit when reconnecting the hose.
Step 6: Attach one end of the new drain hose to the back of the refrigerator. Make sure the connection is secure.
Step 7: Attach the other end of the drain hose to the drain pipe or sink, whichever is applicable. Again, make sure the connection is secure.
Step 8: Plug the refrigerator back into the wall and check to make sure there are no leaks.
Step 9: Clean up any mess created during the installation process.
