1. Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the screws that hold the Whirlpool WP3387138 Thermostat in place with a Phillips-head screwdriver and set them aside.
3. Lift off the cover of the Thermostat and unplug the wires from the mounting bracket, being careful not to damage the wires.
4. Install the new Thermostat in the same location as the old one, reconnecting the wires to the mounting bracket.
5. Secure the Thermostat in place with the screws that were removed earlier.
6. Plug the refrigerator back into the electrical outlet and turn it on.
7. Test the temperature setting on the Thermostat by opening the freezer and refrigerator door to check for appropriate cooling.
8. Adjust the Thermostat if necessary until desired temperature is reached.
