Replacing the WP2260518AP Whirlpool Filter Cap:
Step 1. Prepare to replace the filter cap. Locate the water filter and turn off the filter's water supply line by turning the valve counterclockwise.
Step 2. Carefully pull the water filter straight out of the filter housing.
Step 3. Remove any debris that may be obstructing the filter’s housing.
Step 4. Unscrew the existing filter cap from the filter housing using a pair of pliers.
