W10830055 Whirlpool Refrigerator Door Gasket
The French Door Refrigerator Door Gasket is a new gray rubber door seal measuring 23" H x 19-3/4" W. If one of the appliance doors won't close properly or you can feel cold air escaping the appliance, replacing the rubber gasket may alleviate these issues. Note that door seal gaskets may also compress over time, causing the appliance to work harder to maintain a constant, cool temperature. To remove any creases or wrinkles from the new gasket, set it in the sun or place it in hot water for a few minutes. Replacing the Whirlpool W10830055 GASKET-FIP
1. Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet and shut off the gas supply line connected to the dryer if it runs on gas.
2. Remove the two screws located at the top of the dryer door, pull the door away from the machine and set it aside.
3. Pull off the front panel of the dryer. There should be four screws holding it in place. After removing the screws, pull the front panel off of the dryer and set it aside.
4. Find the old gasket-fip that needs to be replaced. The gasket-fip is a plastic ring located around the edge of the opening of the dryer drum.
5. Unscrew the clamp that is holding the old gasket-fip in place with a Phillips head screwdriver.
6. Locate and purchase the new Whirlpool W10830055 GASKET-FIP.
7. Take the new gasket-fip and slide it into place. Make sure it is properly seated before moving on.
8. Take the clamp that came with the new gasket-fip and secure it in place. Tighten the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
9. Reattach the front panel to the dryer. There should be four screws holding it in place.
10. Replace the door of the dryer and secure it with two screws.
11. Plug the dryer back into the wall outlet and turn the gas supply line back on if the dryer is a gas model.
