Replacing a Whirlpool WP74008369 Oven Sensor
Tools and Materials Needed
•Phillips screwdriver
Instructions
1. Unplug the oven from its power source.
2.Remove the oven from the wall.
3. Open the oven door to access the interior of the oven.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the back panel of the oven to the wall.
5. Pull the back panel out and locate the oven sensor. It is typically located behind the temperature control panel.
6. Unplug the wiring harness from the old oven sensor.
7. Remove the old oven sensor from the oven by unscrewing the mounting screws that secure it to the oven wall.
8. Place the new oven sensor in the same spot as the old one, and securely tighten the mounting screws to the wall.
9. Plug the wiring harness into the new oven sensor.
10. Carefully reattach the back panel to the oven wall and secure it with the Phillips screws.
11. Plug the oven back into the power source and test the new oven sensor to make sure it is working properly.
12. Replace the oven in its original location.
