WP61001846 Whirlpool Refrigerator Heater
The SxS Refrigerator Defrost Heater melts frost from the evaporator of the appliance throughout the automatic defrost cycle that occurs during normal operation. If the evaporator is freezing up and affecting the performance of the refrigerator, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To replace the part, remove the ice bucket and all shelving from the freezer so you can access the back panel. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience.
