Replacing the Whirlpool WP2185696 CAP-DRAIN
DIY Instructions
1. Unplug your Whirlpool washer from the wall outlet. Make sure all power sources are disconnected before beginning.
2. Locate and remove the top lid of the washer. This is typically done by pulling the lid up and away from the main unit.
3. Remove the screws that hold the front panel of the washer in place. This can be done using a screwdriver.
4. Once the front panel is removed, locate the Whirlpool WP2185696 CAP-DRAIN located near the rear of the washer.
5. Using a flat head screwdriver or putty knife, gently pry up the cap from its fastening system. This will allow access to the drain hose assembly.
