Step 1: Unplug the Whirlpool W11480892 from its power source.
Step 2: Remove the top panel of the washing machine. This can be done by unscrewing the two screws located in the back of the machine. Lift up the top panel and set aside.
Step 3: Locate the agitator at the center of the tub and grab the sides of the agitator. Wiggle it back and forth until it is loose enough for you to easily pull it out.
Step 4: Put the new agitator into place. Make sure it is firmly secured.
Step 5: Replace the top panel and screw it in place.
Step 6: Plug in the Whirlpool W11480892 and test the new agitator.
