Replacing the Whirlpool W11038526 SHELF-GLAS
1. Unplug your Whirlpool refrigerator from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply to the unit if the water filter is connected to the back of the appliance.
2. Access the shelf-glas area by removing the interior door panel of the refrigerator. You can do this by removing the top hinge or bottom hinge screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Locate and remove the plastic tabs holding the shelf-glas in place. Do this by using a flat head screwdriver to gently pry away at the tabs.
4. Carefully pull out the shelf-glas. Depending on the model, there may be small clips holding the shelf in place. Gently remove them as well.
5. Place the new shelf-glas in the same position as the old one. Secure it with the plastic tabs and/or clips.
6. Reattach the interior door panel by inserting the hinge screws into the appropriate holes. Tighten the screws until the door is secure. If your model has a gasket surrounding the door panel, make sure it’s properly in place before reattaching the panel.
7. Plug your refrigerator back in and turn the water supply back on if necessary. When finished, you should have successfully replaced your shelf-glas.
