DIY Instruction for Replacing the Whirlpool W10701697 GRILL-VENT
Note: When replacing any part inside an electrical appliance, make sure to unplug the device from the power source before starting this process.
1. Remove the grille from the front of the dryer. Detach both sides of the grille from the dryer housing.
2. Remove the screws from the vent cover located directly behind the grille and set aside.
3. Unscrew the remaining screws attached to the grill-vent. Then, gently pull out the grill-vent.
4. Remove the fabric filter that is situated behind the grill-vent.
5. Insert the new grill-vent into the opening, making sure the two slots on the side of the grill-vent align with the corresponding holes.
6. Replace the screws in the slots, reattach the fabric filter, and then replace the vent cover.
7. Place the grille back in its original position and secure the screws.
8. Turn the power back on and test your work.
