DIY Guide to Replacing the D510329P Speed Queen Dryer Heater Assembly-Org-5.35 KW
1. Safety First: Ensure that you unplug the dryer from the wall outlet before attempting any repair.
2. Open up the dryer: Gently pull the top of the dryer up to reveal the cabinet. Unscrew the cabinet with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Disconnect the wires: Take note of the placement of the wires connected to the heater assembly for reference during reassembly. Disconnect these wires carefully and make sure you have them labeled in order to make reinstallation easier.
4. Remove the old heater assembly: Unscrew the two screws at the back of the heater assembly. Once they are removed, the heater assembly can be pulled out.
5. Install the new heater assembly: Place the new heater assembly in the opening. Secure it by tightening the two screws you removed earlier.
6. Reconnect the wires: Place the wires into the same locations they were in before you removed the old heater assembly. Make sure the wires are secured tightly.
7. Test the new assembly: Plug the dryer back in and test the function of the new heater assembly.
8. Reinstall the cabinet: Lastly, screw the cabinet back on and firmly close the top of your dryer.
